Noise Reducer Pro App Reviews
Amazing
Really works, it’s a masterpiece!!!
This app is amazing, offers automatic and manual adjustment and does an excellent rendering of the image. I have a couple of Denoise apps and this by far is the easiest to use and gives the best results, highly recommend.
I tried Noise Reducer Pro with a particularly noisy misty landscape image and I was impressed with the results. Very fast in performing the noise reduction. Very easy to use.
It might be ok as a Photos extension, but as a stand alone for serious work, forget it. There are far better and more powerful options out there that are just as easy to use as this very stripped down, simple app that is anything but simple to use. If this app was free you might want to try it but my bet is that you will delete it after a few attempts as it’s simply not worth it when there are superior options out there.
Excellent
this app is so useful and easy to use.
Forced me to review to use it
I can’t express a true comment until I have used it
Reduces noise and some artifacts after using sharpening programs. Some sharpening programs have a noise reducer function, but sometimes reducing the noise take a lot of the sharpness back out. This program did a good job of reducing noise and artifacts without destroying the sharpness. So far, I like it a lot.
good but could be better
Could be better. Would like to see more options.
Worked Well For Me
I took a very noisy image and it really did a good job in removing the noise from it while retaining the detail. I’m impressed.
forced to review to save photos
overall, works well but a short tutorial would be nice.
Hopeless . Removing
The output is invariably a balnk image with slanting parallel lines, drwing colurs from the image imported. Removing.
Which is free of course. The only thing I would ask for is they make this an extension to work within Photos. Other than that it’s a terrific little app for the price of FREE!
Useless
All this program did was create a blank gray picture with black lines running through it. Completely useless. Uninstalling right now.
Loving it so far
This app is great, the app saves a lot of time over correcting noisy photos. very very happy.
This app is useless to me. On the other hand, except for about a half hour of wasted time, it didn’t cost me anything. As with three other reviewers, any JPEG file I’ve tried, including photos taken on both of my cameras, images downloaded from the web, and a screen capture, the “After” image displayed on my screen looks basically like the picture on an old TV when the Horizontal Hold needs adjustment. I also tried a PNG. Same result. I tried saving the image thinking that perhaps the dispaly was messed up but the image wasn’t. Wrong. The help for this app is up to the standard of the app itself. There are about 10 FAQ’s at the developer’s web site, none of which address this problem. I can find no explanation anywhere of the use and function of the tool buttons in the product and there are no settings to adjust. I am running El Capitan on a new MacBook. This computer has a Retina screen, but I don’t see how that would cause the problem. I would like to request that the next reviewer who provides a 5 star review states what hardware/OS configuration he or she is using.
doesnt save
works really great but doesnt allow me to save new picture and looks like the old one tried changing file name.
works good..
it does what it promises, need support to import photo from photos and iphoto applications.
My original review of Version 1 was a two-star because, even though it was buggy and displayed a corrupt-looking ‘After’ photo, the user interface was intuitive and it was convenient to use. Well, this version 1.4.4 has improved to earn a 4-star rating, in my opinion. The user-interface is intuitive: iconic Open and Save button, instant zoom level buttons (200%, 100%, Fill screen, incremental), useful compare-to-original’ options (Off,Swipe,Side-by-Side), and a convenient Auto/Manual noise-reduction control. On the tool bar there is also a ‘feedback’ link which tells you that the developer wants you to let him know how he’s doing - use it to let him/her know of any bugs that exist or improvements you’d like to see. Although Apple Photos has a built-in noise reduction feature that works well, ‘Noise Reduction Pro’ permits you to reduce grain and pixelations on an Ad Hoc basis, without needing to first add the photo to your Library in order to improve the image. Tip: The convenience of Drag n’ Drop of photographs directly onto the applications window to work on them, is currently available on a limited basis. So far, I’ve found I can drag from the Finder and iPhotos, but not from Apple Photos or Safari, Firefox, or Google Chrome. Until the Developer addresses and expands the Drag n’ Drop capabilities of Noise Reducer Pro, you must use the Finder as the intermediary for all Drag n’ Drop functions.
Noise Reducer
Works farily well
